In the early 90's Jon Sonnenberg and Robert Gutschow recorded and performed in the Los Angeles area as the experimental electronic duo Pivot Clowj. The two later regrouped to release two albums for Plastiq Musiq under the name House of Wires: You are Obsolete (1998) and Monogamy (1999).

In 2000 Sonnenberg relocated to Ohio and adopted the name Travelogue. His subsequent solo recordings have had a stronger focus on modular, analog synthesizers and home brewed instruments. Travelogue has opened for The Human League, The Legendary Pink Dots, Anything Box among others.
