So, with Ronnie indicating on his social media that new music is in the works, what are you hoping for?
- A new Joy Electric album?
- A new Said Fantasy Album?
- New music from a previous side project?
- A new side project altogether?
.
New Music
Re: New Music
I am hoping for new JE but I wonder if it will be another Christmas themed SF? Either way is good for me.
Now, when will there be new merch?

Re: New Music
Maybe an album that's JE on one half and SF on the other!
Re: New Music
Personally, I'm hoping for a new JE album as long as it is not another Dwarf Mountain Alphabet. Not hating on DMA, because it had some great moments on it, but DMA sounded more like a side project than a JE record IMO.
OR, I'd like to see another album from The Bros Martin, The Foxglove Hunt, or Shepherd.

Re: New Music
I'd also prefer something JE.

Re: New Music
Looks like the new release will be under the Ronnie Martin name!
Re: New Music
It's now almost the end of the year, but we have the first single coming up in a few days according to the latest VBM email:
No description of what it will sound like (synths, guitars, synths & guitars?). Will it be in the vein of Said Fantasy, with that name going away? Will Ronnie release whatever he wants to under his name --from ska to synth to orchestral to everything in between -- because the band name is his namesake now?? How many licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop???
We are also thrilled to announce the debut RONNIE MARTIN record coming in 2022. The first single from it 'From The Womb Of The Mornig, The Dew Of Your Youth Will Be Yours' is out on Nov. 5th, it will be followed by a second single on Dec. 3rd. and then the full record in early 2022 (cd, cass, 12")
Ronnie fronted the long running synth band Joy Electric, and has a rich history of crafting pop songs. Be prepared to be amazed, we do dare say this is his finest work to date !

Re: New Music
Agreed, it sounds... awesome! Glad to hear new music from Ronnie. Can't wait for this album, although I think I will miss the JE name.
Various links to buy it from:

Digital only, no CD that I could find. I went with Bandcamp since today is artist Friday or whatever it's called, when they waive the artist fees. So I threw some extra in above the $2 asking price.

Re: New Music
The second single is coming out in a few weeks. I'm guessing digital again.
Edit: an actual CD single, with a poster, stickers, etc:

"2nd RONNIE MARTIN single 'Snow Like Wool' out on 12/03"
If linking the image works:
That "EP cover" reminds me of Cascading Slopes' "Horns of Archenland" music video.
